The first phase of our masterplan for an inner city, brownfield site has been submitted to Coventry City Council for planning approval. The development will provide 20 affordable rent homes managed by our client, a community-based charity.
Careful studies of local context and in-depth conversations with our client have informed this simple apartment block comprising twenty affordable family apartments. All apartments are dual aspect with full height windows and spacious corner balconies.
The new landscape softens the environment and increases tree cover using the Miyawaki method to create an urban forest that both acts as a buffer to the arterial road into the city centre and increases site biodiversity.
The development includes a super insulated fabric, communal heat pump system, solar panels, MVHR and triple glazing with the aspiration to reduce energy costs for residents.
